Arrival Week in Hawaii
Welcome to Hawaii. Now Slow Down for a Minute.
You made it. After months of planning, paperwork, packing, airport terminals, and saying goodbye to friends and family, you’re finally here. If this is your first time living in Hawaii, the first few days can feel exciting and overwhelming at the same time. Nothing feels familiar yet. You’re probably living out of suitcases. Your household goods may still be somewhere over the Pacific. And you’re wondering how long it’ll take before this place actually feels like home. Here’s something I tell almost every military family I work with. Don’t expect to have everything figured out during your first week. Nobody does.
If you’ve been following along, this guide is part of the complete PCS to Hawaii Timeline, designed to help military families navigate every stage of relocating to Hawaii.
