Elias Halvorson is a financial expert and senior VA loan officer specializing in helping prospective home buyers select the right Va Loan Program for their unique needs. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest by a family of veterans, Eli was inspired to serve his country at a young age. While studying International Relations at the University of Washington, he took the opportunity to study abroad and spent a year living in Russia – an experience that gave Eli a new appreciation for our country’s role on the global stage. During his studies, Eli also joined the Reserve Officers’ Training Corp (ROTC) which prepared him for his role as a finance officer in the United States Air Force.
During his 13 years in the Air Force, Eli managed billion-dollar cost estimates and budgets for critical missions in Kabul, Afghanistan, Manas, and Kyrgyzstan. Even after separating from the service, Eli still embodies its core values: Integrity first. Service before self. Excellence in all we do. Having firsthand experience with the excitement and challenges of a PCS and the complexities of military and civilian finance, Eli has committed his civilian life to help families make the most of their VA Home Mortgage benefits.
As a VA mortgage broker, Eli has visibility into interest rates at hundreds of banks and can help buyers secure financing that aligns with their near- and long-term financial objectives. He believes no two clients are alike and will not rush the pre-approval loan process. His focus on relationships is unique in the industry and whether securing a VA High Balance Loan for a multi-million-dollar property in Kailua or Kaka’ako or leveraging a veteran’s VA Loan benefit to purchase a small condominium in Waianae, Eli is committed to transparency and excellent service.
Eli also empowers his clients with information, offering a VA Mortgage Calculator on his website and opening his network of realtors and military relocation professionals who specialize in some of Hawai’i’s most popular housing markets including Kapolei, Ewa Beach, Pearl City, Aiea, Mililani, Wahiawa, Kaneohe, Kailua, Waimanalo and Hawaii Kai.
